Well what is there on this one, simply put…WHAT THE HELL WHERE THEY THINKING? Cate Blanchey is a good actor but she is NPT in her 20s there has to be a reason she agreed to this movie and we have to hope it was a big paycheck as other than that there is no reason to do this erm…crap.
Borderlands is a well loved game that has been on the go for more than a decade, this leads to the idea that this is a good idea for a movie. Well in theory it is indeed, but this isn’t the one that should have been made. Blanchet plays the bounry hunter Lilith who we meet taking her latest bounty for the payday only to be intercepted by Atlas head of the largest corporation seems that a soldier had gone rogue and taken his daughter to the planet Pandora where lilith is from.
The movie follows the idea of the game only extremely loosely, in the game you have claptrap and a way to level up.. in the movie…erm no. Just a jack black robot who tries, and fails to be funny.
The action I’m this is stupid to the level of being assenine and the effects just simply don’t work. It looks to us like they spent too much on the actors who we hope we’re well plaid, as this stinks of green lantern level of outcomes for the stars.
Along the way we meet bad soldiers, mutants and Jamie lee Curtis as a weird historian.
Overall the casting is bad, monumentally wrong age range bad, the effects are crap, the story line is paper thin, the acting is so camp it’s nearly unbearable. However much this cost..it’s not going to make it back. Surely no one working on this or editing could not have thought this was any good there has to be drugs involved.
Please give this one a wide birth like grand canyon side wide
