Chief of Station (2024)

Aaron Eckhart is back again I’m another churned out movie, this guy simply d9esnt get that he is a little too old and allot too untalented to be throwing himself around as a supposed CIA chief. Yet he still does. This is starting to smell like legal levels of movie making, he has played assassin’s, agents diplomats and politicians plus scientists so always Working.
This time Exkheart played a CIA chief of staff for Berlin when his wife is murdered supposedly by Russian agents, he ofcoursw doesn’t believe it (well who would) so goes on a one man vendetta to find the truth. And with that we start a hour an a half endecour to fight the bad guys and win the day.. which l..shocker..he does.
The story is lame and predictable and the acting is wooden and poor. The effects, such as they are are just OK but, and sorry if your not old enough, the gunplay in this is as bad as a Saturday afternoon action TV show where no matter how many thousands of rounds are fired they hit nothing but a bystander or a door. Someone should tell thr effects guys that bullets can go through glass and a thin car door as easily as they could paper, but not here. The best is when our hero runs down an exit road in a straight line with 10 supposed trained Russian assessins behind him shouting at him and do not even graze him, by the law of averages a stray bullet of the lot should hit him, it’s a tad ridiculous to say the least.
There’s no real buy in the characters, the action would make a drama school cry so erm.. give it a miss unless you just want to kill time.
